Fishing
If
fishing is your thing, there's simply no place better. Your holiday
home has its own 15-foot boat
with
an outboard engine, ideal for fishing. You may also rent a larger vessel
with a captain, if you
wish
to experience real deep-sea fishing. Lakes and rivers abound, and
there is plenty of trout
and
salmon to be caught. Ask us for advice.
This
area offers some of the finest hiking and trekking terrain in the world.
One walk we would
recommend,
is to the top of the Mountain "Stemshesten". This mountain rests
on the shores
of
the Atlantic - very close to your house. It will take you 90 easy minutes
to get there, but
you
will never forget the view.
You
are in the heart of Fjord Norway. In fact, many of the country's
best-known tourist motives
are
to be found within a short drive from your holiday home. Below you
will find a description of
a
small selection. Enjoy!

It commands a strategic position at the inlet to the fjords behind the

important coastal forti- fications - the Fort Ergan. Now restored, guided
tours are offered through the many sub-terrain chambers.
The
dome of the church is an ancient sailors' landmark. You may also enjoy some
highly traditional Norwegian cuisine in the genuine "Bryggjeloftet
Restaurant". |

Kristiansund
The
colourful town of Kristiansund
is built on four islands, connected by bridges and the charming little
"Sundbåt" - the local bus on water ( photo above ). Founded
on its fishingindustry, the town developed strong ties with Spain and Portugal.
Even today, this is reflected in the local food, forinstance in the spicy
dish "Bacalaõ" - more native to the Med than the North Sea!
